Why the heck......

does a car prove just how perfect it is, on the last ever drive of it?

I'm breaking/parting out my Lude and driving the 400 miles home from work yesterday she was the most beautiful drive I've had in her

I now have her parked up on my drive, and I've already removed the ICE and a few other bits to put in my new whip, but i miss her already

So i'll be stripping a UK spec 'lude and if anyone wants anything, drop me a line

There's a ton of stuff I want... but a ton of stuff I can't afford for you to ship lol.

Why are you parting it out?

Because the one of the parts i need to keep it on the road is only available from Honda direct in Japan and it's gonna cost me about £400 ( about $650 in your money) to get and i don't have that lying around right now

A Vauxhall Vectra for £150. Even if it only lasts a few weeks I'll get my money's worth out of it.

Re: Why the heck......

if u need a cv joint why don't u just get an aftermarket one. I'm sure the uk spec lude is not that much different then the north america spec prelude. try Honda Parts at hondapartsnow.com: Honda Accessories, Honda Auto Parts

Re: Why the heck......

Yeah, there is no way a cv axle(if that is what you need) should cost you more then 200 aftermarket.

Sadly this is where the UK Dealers rob customers blind. Just the outer CV boot would cost me £70 from Honda (about $100) and the drive shaft/cv joint is apparently only special order from Japan and stupid money. On the bright side, someone is coming to look at my 'new' car on monday, and it looks like i might just be able to make enough on that to repair the lude. I might actually buy another lude and use it as a donor as they can be picked up for about £150-£200 if you don't care about the bodywork lol

Cheers for the link Unreachable, but they don't do UK delivery :(
