The past two

What's up to all.

The past two days have been funny. It all started about a month ago when the lude decided to not start unless I gave it jump with my booster pack. I decided that I had enough of repeatedly having to jump it all the time and brought it to get checked out. The shop told me it was the battery and the alternator and to fix it would cost me nearly $500 bucks with parts. Of course I said thanks for checking it but i'll pass on getting it fixed right now. So I went to my local parts spot and got me a battery and changed it. It started..Ran fine...and I did not have to jump it anymore. Even my neighbor load tested my system and said it was not my alternator. I thought I was in the clear and I saved some money. Anyway yesterday a month later from changing the battery everytime I would start the car it would take a couple of cranks to start and always feel a bit weak at first. I knew something was wrong but I said f**k it and kept it moving. I went to work and came home and me and girl went to Dominos to pick up something to eat. I decided to get the $5.99 carry out special. (since Dominos changed its crust and sauce its my number one place to get pizza..Sorry Papa John's) We wait and eventually get our pizza so guess what? We get to my car and I try to start it and it just made that rapid clicking sound. Sad times I forgot my booster pack at home. So my girl starts laughing and says "see Hondas suck". (Oh by the way she just got a 2005 Nissan Altima so me and her got a little Nissan and Honda feud going.) I have been with her for three years so she's mad cool and we just chill and eat pizza in the car next to Dominos even though it is hot as hell outside. Eventually my sister's fiance come through and gives me jump and we are good to go.

Today I did not make the mistake of leaving my booster pack at home. I went early this morning and got me a alternator and changed it out this afternoon after work. I test drove it and thankfully the car did not die. I turned it off and tried to start it and it started right away. Overall, if anyone ever has a problem with your battery please check your alternator as well don't be a dumbass like me. Oh yeah I also realized that ludes or Hondas are the best, if that alternator has been in the car since 1992 that means it lasted almost 20 years.

Alternators crap out more in the summer months. Heat is an electrical part's worst enemy.

Re: The past two

HOw about your cooling system. Does the heat put more of a strain on your system than the winter months?
