Re: grinding my intake

Are you talking about port matching the throttle body to the IM? If so, then yeah, you'll see a small gain if done properly.

Re: grinding my intake

Well I was just gonna grab like one of those grinding stone adapters 4 drills, and I was just gonna start grinding the top half just 2 increase the volume of it.

Re: grinding my intake

You'd be better off just carefully port matching the TB to the IM. Remember... it's easy to take material off. Putting it back on isn't so easy.

Re: grinding my intake

Portmatching the TB/IM on an H22 will net you around 5 ponies. Not sure about the H23.

Re: grinding my intake

There's a video on youtube on how to port match an H22 TB/IM. Search like "H22 drag racing power" or something like that.

Re: grinding my intake

porting and polishing the entire IM usually nets a good amount of hp when done right, but it's not as easy as just hogging it the fuk out and taking out as much material as possible. most of the time that'll hurt power.

the only way to do it correctly is with access to a flow bench machine so you can test/see if your improving or decreasing airflow.
