Washer Line Problem now Car wont turn over (please help)

I've done some searching already and discovered that most of you guys don't have the Rear Wiper and Sprayer but if you can help at all I'd much appreciate it!

One of the pumps on my washer bottle had broken so I got replacement pumps and put them on, I'm pretty sure I put the wrong hoses on the pumps because the pump would run but no water would come out of the hood jets. I pulled off the front left fender to check what tube ran where and saw that one went to the normal place and the other went in an inlet just below the grommet and then noticed beside and behind the passenger seat the floor was wet (I'm from New Zealand so my lude is right and drive) so I swapped the tubes around again and cut the one going to the rear and blocked them off (I never use the washers anyway but the jets need to work on the front to get a warrant of fitness here, I don't know why.. -__- using them makes my windshield even dirtier since I silicone it). I then went and turned the key to acc and pulled the washer button and heard a faint pump sound but nothing came out of the jets, I also noticed that the lights were all dim and nothing would turn on or it would flash for a little while and then lights would turn off. I can't turn the engine over either and I don't hear a click then I turn the key. When I first turned it over after finding the leak in the rear washer line there was a heap of clicking coming from the engine bay (if that helps ).

Could the rear line have leaked somewhere around the firewall and short circuited something? or is it the main relay just completely gone (since it was on it's way out in the first place) I'm pulling the dash to replace the fuel/temp cluster and giving it a good clean up because there's a few annoying rattles behind it.

If you have any ideas on what could have happened could you please let me know?

ps.. could it even be the battery just going flat? I didn't think that it could have gone flat that fast all though I'm not sure if a door was left open for a few hours though, but I'd pulled the battery lead off as soon as I realized something was wrong and left it over night in case water had gotten somewhere.
pss.. I can take pictures if you need, but I think I read somewhere I need a certain amount of posts and I can't remember what it was
