Uk Spec Lude

Hey guys, I've got a Gen 4 Lude, which sadly needs too much work to keep on the road. I'm just wondering if there is any scope for any UK parts for you lot.

This isn't a for sale thread, but I'm just curious as I don't know enough about 'Ludes to know of what differences there are between UK/US spec. Other than Keiichi Tsuchiya alloys (Rare apparently) the care is pretty standard, and a UK car, not a Jap import.

Any input is appreciated guys.

Re: Uk Spec Lude

Cheers guys - what sort of things would be of interest. Sorry for the vauge-ness of the question, but it's a case of scrap it, or pull it into the garage, and strip it (which would upset the wife but if it's worth it I'd consider it).

Re: Uk Spec Lude

Well I remember on Tegs, the UKDM/EDM cars had different tailights, as well as a foglight on the driverside of the rear bumper. Also, UKDM/EDM ITR's had special foglights that were set in the middle of the bumper/lip. Post some pictures up and we can tell you what is different fersure though, just because I haven't seen any UKDM/EDM ludes yet

Re: Uk Spec Lude

Those headlights are different, although I think those are just aftermarket, not OEM, but you have OEM sidemarkers as well as Amber turn signal lenses. And if those rims are OEM that is friggin baller status! Lol. But yeah, post more pictures tomorrow!!!

Re: Uk Spec Lude

Although ya know what, I'm not really sure, those look like they could be JDM headlights (OEM in the UK) I just can't see the lines in the headlights like you do in JDM ones, soo its hard to tell lol

Re: Uk Spec Lude

No the rims are after market Modia (or Modex, it's too late to go look) KS-05 Keiichi Tsuchiya, rare as rocking horse droppings by all accounts, 2 are 32 offset and 2 are 35 offset (TBC, but from what i've found out I've no reason not to believe it), designed for some Japanese Drift Legend by all accounts. The most recent set I've found that sold went for 920/$1700 approx (crazy i know as i'd only want about $500+shipping) as they need a re-furb.

More pics tomorrow, cheers guys.

Your headlights, corners, sidemarkers, rear fog, steering wheel, the lay out of your center console, the fact that your armrest has a lock on it, and that you have a rear wiper are the things that I picked up on. But wow dude, she is beautiful :) That color is amazinggg! But the center console things I picked up on may have to do with your car being an earlier 4th gen (92 here in the states) and the rear wiper may have been an option, or maybe my car is just retarded and didn't come with one

Re: Uk Spec Lude

Those headlights should fetch a pretty penny. I personally have never seen a two piece black housing headlight, which is because I have never seen a UKDM/EDM prelude But you should be able to get a nice amount out of those alone, just because they are UKDM. Same goes for those amber turns. ****, anything UKDM will go for a high price, I even remember seeing a rear fog for an integra going for like $120.00, just for the fog, because if preludes are the same as integra's (for the most part they are surprisingly) there should be a template on the inside of the rear bumper that you cut out and then put the fog in and its good to go!

Good luck with the sale, and I might be buying those headlights if you put em up for sale Just cause those are dead sexxxy.

Can't do a 'For Sale' thread yet due to low post count, but will be sure to list an 'EBAY' thread in the relevant section. Cheers for all the info fella

Bud, if i had the cash lying around for it's MOT (yearly test to make sure it's road worthy) then I'd keep it, but it needs a new windscreen, CV joint and boot, brakes all round, and a lot of the parts i can only find genuine and not patent parts, which all adds up to mucho dollar

I'm either going to roll it into my garage and buy a shed to roll around in, selling a few little bits off it to put towards another whip, until i have the cash flow to get the 'lude back on the road, or just completely butcher it and weigh it in as it's worth about $400 as scrap metal

Oh and the clutch is starting to slip too, but that wouldn't fail the MOT.

The shipping on that would be crazy - but easily do-able if you've got the $$$

I'll know for definate what I'm doing by the 5th/6th August, as i have a month off so no need for a car. I'm actually looking at a car tomorrow so i might know sooner.

I'll keep everyone updated as best i can, but i don't have the ability to do a 'For Sale' thread yet (post count too low), so try and message me saying what bits you'd want nearer the time (If the mods don't mind).

It's going to be sat on my drive either way, so wont be going the the scrap yard until end of august.
