Quick question about a plug-in

what should this be plugged into. what does this do and would it cause any problems not being plugged in.

thats your vtec solenoid. without that plugged in, guess what doesn't work....

it has to be there ,unless some one worked on the engine and unplugged it or knock it off by accident look for it .

But seriously u want VTEC!!! and tha connection or a loose wire should b near it just keep looking
