Re: Engine change what to go for

Honestly both of those are going to be damn near the same to put in because they are both H series engines. The only difficulty I could see you having is wiring up VTEC if you used an h23 harness, but VTEC is only 4 wires and there are monkeys that can wire it up lol. Honestly the H23 is going to be waaaaayy cheaper, the H22 makes more power, has a higher redline, and has some baller VTEC kick Get an ECU (might as well just get a p06 from a 92-95 civic, get it chipped for your engine, so that way you can be tuned and then continue tuning once you start modding your engine more), get the Wiring harness for whatever engine you decide on, get new motor mounts (this is a must in my opinion because mounts this old are just gross ) and then get your axles and your transmission (JDM H22 LSD FTW!) and then you are good to go.

Just a small tip though, please try and use proper grammar and punctuation because it will make answering any questions you have ten times easier.

Welcome to PZ by the way!

Re: Engine change what to go for

But most importantly do some research! This is your car lol, you decide what YOU want to do with it, my suggestion on the ECU is a decision I have come to after hours of researching, but its not for everyone, and honestly the only reason I am even considering doing it is because I was given a p06 with s300 on it from a friend. You will still want the stock ECU from whatever engine you decide, so you can drive the car the way it was meant to

But yeah, your car, you do the homework, the search button is your friend, as is google

Re: Engine change what to go for

Yes, it will be a very easy swap, with the ECU, Transmission, Complete Engine, Wire Harness, Axles, and Mounts. It will be easy (as far as swaps go) because both of those engines originally came in 4th gen Honda Preludes.
