where is the temperature sensor?

where is temp sensor located for the temp gauge?..i just got my JDM H22 installed and i drove it around to get it warmed up then I parked and opened my hood and waited to see if my radiator fans turn on but they haven't even after letting it run for ten minutes..

it was nite time and about 72 degrees outside, if that matters..

i replaced the sensor/switch by the upper rad. hose and new t.stat but i didnt replace the one in the t.stat housing..im thinking maybe the fan relay but i dont know how to check if its still good..i have a multi-meter just need to know what pins to check for continuity..both fans turn on when i turn on the a/c..pretty much just want to know which sensors or switches are responsible for the fans and for the temp gauge..thanks..ive tried searching but i get so many different answers and people referring to the upper hose housing as the thermstat housing, they just confusing people

Re: where is the temperature sensor?

The sensor i think you need is the smallest sensor with one wire coming out of it. it is located under the distributor right behind the water inlet sensor. Im having trouble with mine too!

Re: where is the temperature sensor?

Yep Roni you're correct. It should just have the one wire (red I believe) coming from it.

TO: TheDream, Hey, I have the same problem, only mine reads COLD all the time. It does light up, but only the bottom bar is lit up. Appreciate your feedback on this on.
