intake air bypass (iab) control solenoid valve block off?

I am putting my motor in and was connecting all the vacuum lines and noticed that the IAB solenoid valve (the one bolted to the bottum of the IM) had a nipple broken off. It has a few vacuum lines running to it and one connector for the wire harness.

Is there a was to bypass this? I cant find the part anywhere and want to get my Lude running saturday.

Another thought is that there is another IAB solenoid valve on the front side of the motor around all the stock air box crap. I am running true CAI and blocked off the front intake control diaphram, so can I use ther front IAB and put it on the back? My only concern with bypassing it is will it throw a code if I dont have the connctor hooked up to the wire harness?

I really don't know if you can use the front solenoid on the back.

But I don't have the IAB solenoid and I don't have a code. If I remember correctly there's no code for the IAB.

You can unhook the vacuum going to the IAB diaphragm, that way the intake secondary runners are always open.

Re: intake air bypass (iab) control solenoid valve block off?

well would the code have to do something with the vacuum lines? why would there be a connecotr for the harness on it? could i just plug the hoses or run a line to bypass it all?

Re: intake air bypass (iab) control solenoid valve block off?

bump this just happened to me and I need help figuring out how to bypass. I will cap the port on the IM, but do I also cap the port on the bypass control diaphragm?
