Re: h22 transmission fill hole or vent

you fill it through a hole on the side of the transmission behind the wheel. just take off the wheel and look straight at the transmission. you can't miss the plug. you use a ratcheting wrench (square end) with no socket to remove it. then you'll need a small tube to stick in there and it helps to have a pump top on the transmission fluid bottle you are going to fill it back up with.

Re: h22 transmission fill hole or vent

that tube is just a vent, but you can also fill your tranny fluid thru there if you're extremely lazy like me

the CORRECT way to put new tranny fluid in is mentioned above, by ike.

Re: h22 transmission fill hole or vent

NOT BUSTR!!! If he does it, it must be more correct than the engineers that designed it!

Lmao, much love

Re: h22 transmission fill hole or vent

It's a vent hole. I know I heard people filling it from that hole but I have always been filling it from the fill hole on the side of the transmission facing the passenger front wheel.

Re: h22 transmission fill hole or vent

Put a hose over the vent tube and fill it up...soo much easier than doing it the right way

Re: h22 transmission fill hole or vent

Last time I tried to fill through the vent hole, it took me 30 minutes because there was no where for the displaced air to exit. The proper fill hole is usually a major pain to break loose. I've been known to pull the VSS and fill through there
