So I'm Driving Down The Road..

.....in my 92 RHD lude on my way to an auto parts shop with a bad battery and terminals...one of the terminals got loose and the car lost power. Re-connected the terminal...then all of a sudden things that NEVER worked in the car before started to work for that one night only. The cabin light, door lights, lots of the things on the dash like the odometer, i was seeing what gear i was in on the dash aswell, plus the dash got way brighter than it was b4 (oil and temp gauge are hell to see during the day). I tried searching the forums and so on b4 posting here. I checked grounds, found couple clipped exposed wires, got a new battery, changed a couple blown fuses, changed battery wires and got a used alternator from a 95 lude cuz the one on the car died and nothing. This car is frustrating..

So you are saying that changing the battery and alot of wires fixed problems? Yeah... kind of makes sense.

No he didn't change them, he just reconnected the existing wire to the current battery and **** magically started working, that wasn't working before. lol

Re: So I'm Driving Down The Road..

where does the op live? Rusted and corroded parts on the car can cause these issues. The dome light for example. With the door open there is a small metal tab that touches the bare metal just behind the switch (there is even a troubleshooting guide for this in the manual!) If this is rusted and/or corroded. You bet your sweet Bippy it won't work.

to the OP: go to the stickies at the top of this forum, open the one that says "resource thread" and d/l the manual. You will be glad you did. Our cars are old, they require a lot of TLC in order to return the favor/fun.
