Re: 92 h23a1 vtec??

prolly a lil bit of column A, lil bit of column B, or he could have an H22 vtec head on an h23 block. so it is feasible.

Re: 92 h23a1 vtec??

No. He said he looked it up (the h23) and saw it said it was a vtec but I think he looked at the wrong column.

Re: 92 h23a1 vtec??

Just look at the block, then look at the head. If it just says "H23a," it's an actual H23VTEC motor. If it says "H23a1," then look at the head. If there's a VTEC solenoid, it's a hybrid. If there's NOT a VTEC solenoid, this guy is full of poo.

I'm not getting it (yet) I just need the coil. But he doesn't know anything but what he misread. It's some kid who's just about to graduate highschool (tomorrow actually). What does a complete h23 usually run for price wise. I may need a new motor. =(

"Yeah I want a bluetop....so I can throw a nonVTEC head on it. BALLER."

Re: 92 h23a1 vtec??

Yeah it was a nice surprise when the ad said JDM 2.3 and i expected a vtec.

Oh well i have the 94 now with a H22. Supposedly he was a Honda mechanic and had just the block laying around when the oe motor cracked.
