Will this valve cover fit?

Hey guys just gettin my prelude h22 ready to go on the oval track. The rules say no Vtec so i was wondering if the the 2.3 dohc valve cover will fit on it. (I know theres other ways to tell that its a vtec but the local inspectors dont know anything about a vtec.) Otherwise i will just have to grind off where it says vtec. no biggie just thought if it would work i would change it.
thanks

Re: Will this valve cover fit?

the inspectors prolly know H22's have 40 more hp, and maybe the rules state you can't have over 170hp or something.

no, you can't use the H23 cover, but you CAN grind off "DOHC VTEC" and paint it.

his name is "circletracklude", leading me to believe he's down in hillbilly alabama/arkansas (no offense to the OP), and people that watch circletrack races aren't known to be the most intelligent people, so i doubt they even know of car manufacturers other than chevy and ford, much less what veeee-takkkkk is.

Re: Will this valve cover fit?

Ok thanks guys. Also for further reference, Im from wisconsin and almost all the tracks around here dont allow vtecs. I am 100% sure there isnt a person at the track that knows what a vtec sounds like, much less could tell what one is by looking at it. My buddy has a 1998 accord with the vtec and nobody has a clue. The car even had too long a wheel base so we shortened the car and they cant tell. Thats how close they tech these cars(or thats their intelligence level). Looks like Ill be grinding. Thanks again.

LMAO! that made me laugh so hard that i got my ab workout in for today.

And if these ppl are so uneducated in the area of automotive knowledge, why ban vtec in the first place?

Yeah i know where you are coming from. They dont know whats a fast car and what isnt. Theres a 4 cyl automatic corsica beating twin cam 5 speed neons and most other cars. Tell me that corsica is stock LOL. There proves my point that the techs dont know ***t.

Why can't there be hillbilly races around here with a $10,000 prize?

Its def worth the extra expense to live up north. I was born n raised in york pa and then moved to OK for college. Snowboardin alone is worth the extra money. God I miss ridin lol. Anywho...to the OP I would just grind it down. Wouldn't take long orbe hard to do. Good luck on that race tho man. 10k is a bad ass purse
