Let's make the air going inside clean

4th Gens... Let's get together on how to have a cleaner air going inside the cabin (car).
If it's been done before, asked or whatnot I am sorry to bring it back from the grave. But it concerns me a lot to have this here. I am thinking of something to place inside the cowling (if that's what is called). Perhaps a sandwiched filter of some sort (prolly the ones used to cover our vents on the floor) anything that will filter at least the pollens that's in and all over my vents/ducts - at least in my car. I am thinking of using an aluminum mesh/grill or the ones used to cover our pans when frying? Again, I am concerned of a clean air to breath while inside my car - driving or just even draining the juice off of my battery. Also for those who have had a baby/car seat in their ludes' tiny rear seats. I've seen several in their 2-door cars like a 3rd Gen, 4th Gen and other make; eclipse. The former; I won't recommend nor will I put one in my car (for my baby) but, for others a "car seat" is built to be put in a car; be a 2-door, 4-door or a top-down.
I am looking forward to hear from you guys. Be it a suggestion or violent reaction.

This has just got into me while stying inside our house and cannot do anything productive on my '96 Lude; bcoz the weather here is unforgiving!

Cheers

First, you must clean your intake from all the dead leaves and rotting matter that has likely collected in there over the years.
Second, research hepa filters.
HEPA - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

but you know this will reduce the efficiency of your blower motor. While they are designed to create as little drag resistance as possible, you still must create a "vacuum" behind it to make it work.

lol.. I think he is a young father who is quite protective of his new off spring.

I just wonder how long the lude is going to last when his back starts getting sore from stretching around the seats to put the baby in the back.

( /me gets out her checkbook) LOL!

Re: Let's make the air going inside clean

@HondaVerno: I did not know that happened back then. hmmm... I don't want anybody to think I am bringing back the dead. I just want to know from other's point of view if this does make sense.

@ UPSLuder: hehe... about the baby that I mentioned, I am just citing one real-life scenario that I saw. A rear-facing car seat was inside a 2-door car like our Ludes. I bet if there's some kind of high air-flow filtration from the opening in front we can get an even fresher and/or a little bit cleaner air for us to breath while inside or during driving. Better for that couple's baby as well, isn't it? Had there been this "High Air-flow Filter" for our type of cars which don't have an in-cabin filter - which is my main concern about this thread. And hopefully to contribute even a little speckle of info here in our community.

@ LilMsPrelude: Yeah, I am concern about my baby (soon) if I don't have a choice but to take him with me in my lude. I agree with you about the "vacuum" needed for the blower's perf/efficiency. I am not looking for an extensive filtration system to the point of going to use a HEPA filter for this project because that's an in-cabin filter and housing assembly is needed for that. I am putting up a prototype and brainstorming with my dad about this kind of EXTERNAL High Air-flow Filter/Filtration system. Which I am sure will be helpful in some way.

But, don't you guys think this is of benefit? I am just the type of person who just want to have/do better. Thanks!
