Re: prelude not shifting

you got the right idea. check the linkage, bushings and such. then your clutch if that dont help. slave cylindar would make it stick to the floor and all that. doubt thats the prob.

also how is the power? does it feel weak at all? if so then it deffinately might be the clutch not connecting like it should and slipping a bit. hmmm

Re: prelude not shifting

...There is transmission fluid in manuals? I searched forever and couldn't find out where to put any in. Finally a friend told me that only automatics use transmission fluid?? Have I been misinformed?

usually only automatics use transmission fluid. because manual transmissions usually use gear oil. And in the case of civics and other small **** boxes, they call for motor oil. yes, 10w40, in the transmission. look it up if you have any doubts. prelude transmissions might even call for it, i never looked it up so who knows. lol. some companies make products for manual transmissions and call it transmission fluid though.

So it's not like general maintenence or anything? My transmission shifts good, so I just figured my friend was right. Should I put gear oil in it? If so, where in the hell do I put it in at??? lol

it should get changed every so often. you'll have to look up what to put in and how often to change it. It should say right in the manual.
