4th gen projector headlights need help!!

so i ordered a set of projector halos off of ebay (1st mistake) hooked them up and i only had high beams. after playing around with the wires and hooking them up different ways i found myself backed in a corner and just hooked my low beams up to a toggle switch until i can get a diagram for my lights. im hoping someone has ran into this and can give me some insite. thanks

i had projectors off ebay. i hated them. the adapters didnt fit so i had to cut them and crimp the wires together. biggest waste of money on my part.

idk if you can do this with ebay projectors but you could try and retrofit the projector into your oem headlamps and slap some HID's on that b!tch and it would be way better.

the adapters fit but i believe the headlights are wired in a circuit together because if i switch one wire on one light it affects the others too so im gonna look up the schematics and try to wire them up this week.

Dont. The light output from those ebay POS's will be horrrrid. I had a HID kit in the ebay projectors, and it was next to no light.

Also, the wiring for mine was SOOO botched up because of how they have them, that when I got them to install my replica JDM's they said it would be easier to just run completely new cables so they knew what the F*&^ was what.

Re: 4th gen projector headlights need help!!

yea well i was looking at my wires and a wiring diagram for our stock headlights.. low beam has a power and ground high beam has two powers with no ground wire. these lights have two ground wires that run into one which would ground the high beams at all times. so i think i need to rewire the actual headlights.
ill do so tonight maybe post pics.

Re: 4th gen projector headlights need help!!

okay so last night i looked at the wiring for my new headlights. disconnected the ground wire that runs to the high beam and ran another power wire to it. works great. but now my driver side low beam isnt working and i think its a ground problem in the wiring harness because when i turn my headlights off the wipers come up about half way and then i have to turn off my car and turn it back on to switch them on and off to go back down. then my driverside turn signals will **** up every now and again. so ill have some investigating to do under the hood..

Re: 4th gen projector headlights need help!!

Hey, I'm having the same trouble with my high beam lights staying on and I'm pretty sure that it is a grounding issue after I checked the dimmer switch and relay. It looks like the owner before me did a horrid job trying to convert the headlights. Could you please post how you wired up your lights? Thanks.

Re: 4th gen projector headlights need help!!

okay.. your highbeam which is the inner bulb by the grills has two power wires. if you look at the connector for the wiring harness you will see two red wires. your low beam has a ground wire and power wire.. so look in the back of your headlight housing (i just removed a rubber peice behind each bulb) and try to trace wires. if worst comes to worst just start fresh and run two wires from your high beam and two seperate wires for your low beam. if you have any other problems pm and i could explain over the phone.
