best way to mod stock intake manifold

I've been reading up on intake manifolds skunk2, euro r, obx ect. form what i read skukn2 aren't all that great the euro r seem like to much wood to make work and seem like a bored out stock manifold. but a lot of people say good things about a moded oem mani but those are all old write up and most of the pics are gone. so am wondering what you guys in here think and know about moding them.

Port matching would be the best option. Polishing the intake side is a bad idea, it has bumps for a reason, it helps atomize the fuel coming into the engine due to increased turbulence. Even NASCAR intake mani's are not polished. You can port match and polish the exhaust side. Increasing the size of the manifold might make you lose power, that is why you need a flow bench.

A bigger throttle body might help if you have cams or some other kind of internal mods, but if you are stock internals, I would say leave it alone.
