Re: **sigh** help me confirm

is it an auto? if so, toss that slushbox and do a manual swap. that is really the only fix. hondas autos, especially these, SUCK!

as to how much longer? depends. my moms 98 accord has done it for years.... only when its cold.. my prelude was fine, then one day BAM it would not shift into gear on its own, i had to use the gear shifter to get it into gear.. so who knows.. i can tell you that the chances are they you will still be able to get home when it does die..you just might have to go slow! lolz.

Re: **sigh** help me confirm

its not that hard or expensive at all! honestly. if you do it right it wont be hard. just get a parts car. take what you need and sell the rest. it WILL pay for the car and the swap in parts!! i found my parts car for 600. used it to do my auto to manual swap, and i STILL have it. it has made me probably around 3-4k not including the swap. and i still have yet to bring it to the scrap yard. ill probably get a few hundred for the metal and a hundred or so for the aluminum. i don't let people take junk for free! =] hell the place that is taking it gives $7.50 for old dead car batteries!!

Re: **sigh** help me confirm

sounds like an auto. manual swap ftw. But, I do think you should learn how to drive manual if you do not know how._.

Re: **sigh** help me confirm

its pretty straightforward. you might get lucky and find a auto tranny on craigslist. any H/F will fit (besides s2k) you can look through accords also! but in the long run, the swap will be best.
