Abs light and brake light turns on but goes away after awhile

Hey, so recently my 92 prelude ABS light and brake light would go on when i make a "sharp" left turn. Usually only the brake light would be turn on, and then it would go away after about 6 seconds, until i make another left turn.
However this morning the abs light and brake light both turned on after about 200 ft of driving or so leaving my house, and it felt like i was driving with my e-brake on. Later after turning on my car and driving home from school, the abs was off. But the brake light still came on when i made "sharp" left turns.

Could it be a wheel sensor?

Also, although i dont think this has anything to do with my problem; my car is lowered and when i turn my wheel all the way it makes a rubbing noise that i suspect the tire is rubbing against the fender.

any help would be appreciated, thank you!

did you check your brake fluid? honestly sounds like your fluid is low..i dont think it would be a wheel sensor.

Re: Abs light and brake light turns on but goes away after awhile

The ABS ties into the braking system, Air bag, 4 wheel Steering (4ws), etc, etc. There is a HUGE section in the 4th Gens service manual for troubleshooting it.

Your best to start there.

Re: Abs light and brake light turns on but goes away after awhile

having low fluid will also make your ABS go on, i know this from experience. did you add fluid? id like to know if that really was the problem!! =]

ya.... why check the troubleshooting guide and MAKE sure these Two PROBLEM INDICATORS aren't a sign of a more serious problem...
Service manual 19-54 (pg 898 in the .pdf)

It's ok to listen to a bunch of strangers on an internet forum with questionable mechanical skills....
