Hey guys I know this is for preludes but by reading other posts you guys know what your talking about, so I was hoping you could give me some pointers on my 1998 accord. Yesterday i didnt have any spark and no engine light came on upon start up. So I did some research and found out it was a bad computer. Now Ive changed the computer and have good spark but now my injectors dont seem to be working. any ideas?
thanks
kyle

The accord is the 4 cyl f23a1 5 speed.

Now i just realized the "key" security light is flashing. any ideas why that would be? IM pretty sure thats why it wont start
thanks

Re: Question about a honda accord

this is going to sound stupid, but are you using the OEM key with the chip? if not, the car will turn over but get no spark! its a safety.

also, check to see if your fuel pump is working, turn the key to ON but dont start it, and listen for a motor under the rear seats or in the trunk.

Re: Question about a honda accord

Yeah the car was just running as of a week ago. We are still using the same key. Also we are getting spark and the fuel pump is running. Im pretty sure the security does shut off the injectors. Also i do have a prelude too. THANKS

Re: Question about a honda accord

I'm not sure of this, but maybe there is a chance that the "code" on the new ECU is different and the old key doesn't recognize the new code (or the new ECU doesn't recognize the key code, whatever). Just a shot in the dark.

Re: Question about a honda accord

Not positive, but you may be able to use the ECU from a 96/97 Accord with an F22B1 and not have to worry about transponder keys at all
