Headlight Bulb Type

So i've been wanting to get some HID's for my lude for a while and I am not really sure which ones I need to get. The bulb type is the part that baffles me like the H1, H2, H3 etc. I'm pretty sure I will need a specific one but I don't know which one I need to get, if someone could tell me that would be great. Also while im posting this I'm probably gonna buy them from ddmtuning.com should I go with the Raptors or the Slim kit and what wattage would be best for just the headlights if anyone knows about either of these? Also I wanted like a very "deep" blue color from the headlights so would that be like a 12,000k bulb color or what?

Re: Headlight Bulb Type

so then would I need to get a separate kit for the lows and highs? Or should I not even worry about my highs?

Re: Headlight Bulb Type

It's your car man, but personally I would leave my highs alone. But yes if you wanted to do that, you would need two separate kits. And some sites don't list the types as 9006/9005, so just in case, low beam is H4 and high beam is H3.

Re: Headlight Bulb Type

well I mean i just dont want it to look bad, if I got a deep blue for the lows then the highs should still be brighter right?

Re: Headlight Bulb Type

If you leave the highs alone, they will probably give you better visibility than any HID's you will get.

Re: Headlight Bulb Type

Alright so do I need to buy a conversion kit or whatever or can I just buy the HID's? I'm not too smart in the electrical department so sorry for all the questions.

Re: Headlight Bulb Type

HID kits come with ballasts. You plug your stock bulb harness in the ballast and then the HID bulbs into the ballast. My 6k HID lows are way brighter than my regular high beam bulbs.

Maybe brighter but better visibility?
