Re: Where to get a part for my 1993 vtec

No it looks like a torsion bar that bolts up horizontally by the radiator support and goes back to the lower control arm. its bolted on by 2 bolts there.
Thanks

Find and download the 4G service manual, find the diagram that shows all the steering/suspension parts and figure out what part it is, then go here: Majestic Honda - The Internet's #1 Honda Automotive Parts Store

Re: Where to get a part for my 1993 vtec

Everywhere i look is just for the bushings. Here is what one guy explained it as:"The strut rod holds the lower control arm steady so it doesn’t move forward or backward." I guess maybe ill have to search some more yards.
thanks

Re: Where to get a part for my 1993 vtec

I'm looking at the Helms right now and the only thing I could see it being is the radius rod. It bolts onto the LCA with two bolts, and that's the ONLY thing that bolts onto the LCA with 2 bolts.

Honda Automotive Parts

Look at this diagram. Am I right?

What is that RandallSharp talking about? And yes that is definatly the part i need. When i looked them up on the parts stores in town they listed "strut rod bushings" so thats what i was going with which i learned now is a Radius rod. Thanks much guys!

The reason being that he was not referring to it by the right name...

You can't got to Autozone asking for a Flux Capacitor when you need a battery.

No problem man. Glad we could help.

P.S. - Your problem is the exact reason I stay away from auto parts stores and order my own parts. Most of those places are a joke. lol

Don't be too surprised...I called yesterday looking for a CV joint and outer tie rod. The response I received? "Sir, I don't believe your car has those parts..."

Seriously. I have 2 Autozones, 2 Advances, and an O'Reilly within 5 miles of me. I can't go to any of them any more because not one of their employees is competent whatsoever.

Accords and Preludes are very similiar (I believe some even share the exact same chassis). You might be right. Are you going to jack it off his car? lol
