180whp/153wtq, Dyno Pics and Vids.

Sups guys, had my car Dyno'd earlier today thought I'd share my results with everyone.

Specs:
H22a1 w/ 160k
Crower Stage 1 cams(Yes I know Skunk2's slap on them, but I got them for a good deal)
AEM CAI
Tuned on crome

That's it. Reason why I'm pretty happy with peak 180/153 lol.

Here are some pics
Fair warning quality isn't DSLR or HD:

Some Videos for your enjoyment:

Dyno Run Video

Dyno Run Video 2

Dyno Run Video 3

And finally the Dyno chart. She wants VTEC even sooner, don't know why I told my tuner to just leave it at 4960, power drops off way too soon:

Can't wait to see what she'll do with a decent header, 2.5" exhaust!

Re: 180whp/153wtq, Dyno Pics and Vids.

The engine sounds and looks strong! Nice graph, cant go wrong with crome (air fuel ratio looks prity safe/on par). And yes you will find that Vtec can be lowered to around 4.7k rpm, only then will the torque curve be more linear. Judging by the graph you could almost try 4.6k rpm for Vtec cross over (to blend the torque curve better). Will be good to see what an exhaust does for you!

Re: 180whp/153wtq, Dyno Pics and Vids.

Just another examply of why 2.2lude should have easily won rotm both times he's been in the running. I apologize 2 the ppl who did win those months, but I think 2.2 should've won hands down. Ur lude is easily one of the best on the site. Definitely in my top 2 favorites. Keep it up man. Very nice numbers

oh my gawdz 4 shure!!!

Sarcasm aside, yes, with a chipped or a standalone ECU, you could change fuel and ignition maps, rev limits, and the VTEC crossover point. Lower may not ALWAYS be better, but on our motors it usually seems to be.

As dbd6604 said but first get onto a dyno then use the resulting curve to properly set your engine's vtec point. No point having Vtec kicking in at 2-4k rpm on a stock engine. And you will need some ability to tune your fuel/ignition maps to be able to get a gain from lowering it (crome etc; piggybacks are not that great (they can take away fuel but not give)).

Yeah. Avoid piggybacks. I sold mine for a reason.

If you're looking for something moderate but enjoyable, you should look at the cams that Skunk2 has. That's what I was gonna use on my build before I became a useless piece of ****. lol
