interior leak

What's up to all
Every time it rains I have a puddle of water in the passenger side floor. Its ridiculous how much water gets in. When i wash my car it does it as well. Im wondering if anyone can help me with this issue. Im sure someone has experienced this before.

Re: interior leak

Check your weatherstripping. Identify the exact place it is coming in. It's most likely the weatherstripping.

Re: interior leak

If it's not weatherstripping then your body is bent...So you decide which is easier.

Re: interior leak

Another thing to check, I learned about when I took my sunroof apart;

MoonRoof DiY

Look at images 4 and 5- There's roof drain tubes that take the built up water from rain or the car wash and lead it down and outside the car. If one of those is disconnected or cracked or something, could be a source of your problem.

Re: interior leak

I use to have this problem, so I replaced the weather stripping (still had leaking) checked the moonroof drains, and they were fine. Then I finally came across where it was leaking from and I did a write up.

Link to write up here:
Water Leak found, passenger side leak.

As for trunk leaks, the rear weather stripping at the end of your rear windshield is most likely your problem. To confirm, have someone run water down your rear windshield and stick your head inside your trunk and look at where your car jack is supposed to sit (passenger side), after about 30seconds, you should see water start to drip. It would be best to change the weather stripping if it is leaking there.
