the last vtec wont engage thread

str8 up i will make this clean and simple.
h22 on a p13 throws only egr code.
from warm to hot will pop for 15 min then stop until the motor cools back down
went over wiring 37 times its cosher, so to cut to the chase-
put vtec solenoid on a independent circuit (momentary switch)
and works the exact same way once the motor is ran for a lil while it stops engaging and have verified solenoid continues to work.

has got to be oil pressure, right?
if it wont work even on a switch.

were gona flush the motor tomorow and see what happens but have you guys ever seen a healthy healthy motor that pulls tons of compresion fail to continously pop simple because the oil pump is wearing out?

Have you checked that the oil pressure switch works correctly (correct voltage reading) when Vtec wont engage? It's either the switch isn't functioning properly or your oil pressure isn't correct.

Re: the last vtec wont engage thread

could be a problem when the ecu is given control of the solenoid.
but when u remove all variables and put control of the solenoid on a switch
that you control and it still wont pop......oil pressure
