jumpy acceleration problem which makes driving in traffic aggravating

whenever i try to coast in first or 2nd gear without pressing the gas, my car tends to accelerate and stop and accelerate and stop. Its driving me crazy because i can no long just coast in traffic without using pressing the gas. Does anybody know why my car is doing that? Any information would be greatly appreciated.

It's just the Prelude transmission man. Mine does the exact same thing. If you're going fast enough in that specific gear it won't do it. Preludes have short gear ratios.

Rpm is probably the factor that you need to consider. If its too low (below 1k rpm) it may judder like that. Just give it some gas to counter the low rpm and play with the clutch a little to prevent it from happening.

yea its normal, you can cruise in 3rd gear until like 10mph or just throw it into neutral

If you're just cruising pop it into neutral. All you're doing is killin your gas efficiency by trying to coast in gear. IMO
