o2 sensor

my car doesn't even have a o2 sensor on it and where it clips into the wires are chopped off. So i went on eBay too look for a o2 sensor they run from 34 bucks to $89, but i go to my local auto parts store and its $136.00? I don't want to buy offline and get ripped off... is this what sensors go for $136.00?

Also if the car sits out in direct sun on a hot day it will not start, it will turn over some times it fires twice then dies right away smells like its flooded. I put all new spark plugs changed the oil and adjusted the idle and it runs better, but still no cigar. If some prelude wizz could help me out im new to the whole import thing.

Re: o2 sensor

yeah i mean it might be a tad pricey.. but around 100 is about right for a quality one.

And with the not being able to start, im dealing with the same problem.. it could be a couple things. When it wont start turn the key into the on position and listen for a low pitched hum of your fuel pump, if you want you can have someone do this and put your head in the trunk and listen you'll definately be able to hear this. If thats kicking on it could be your main relay or fuel filter.
