Axle to Drive Shaft

okay driver side of the vehicle i took my axle out of the drive shaft. as i did that i took out the bearing (3 of them) and degreased em and re-packed em, but now trying to get the axle back into the drive shaft with the bearings on it seems to be the difficult part. Are there any tricks on getting the axle to just slide back into the drive shaft because I can't seem to get it to go back in the drive shaft, thanks in advance.

Re: Axle to Drive Shaft

you have to force it in, sometimes they can be more difficult than others. keep working on it. there is a "washer" so to speak that can be annoying. just work at it and maybe use a rubber hammer, but dont destroy the boot.
