Help on lowering springs

as i was doing my front left strut i was trying to take it out pushing down on the rotor to get the clearance to pull the strut out the seal around the drive shaft joint from where it goes from the tranny down to the wheel right at that joint i guess it gave out little puff like the air going in and i can't seem to get it to go back up i was told to just play w/ it and it will eventually go back up in the there i need some help asap if anyone can assist me that'd be great. thanks in advance. also what's the easiest way to get the strut out cause I've been at it for 30 mins and can't seem to make the last quarter inch of clearance to get the strut out.

Re: Help on lowering springs

twok hahaha. I think what he is saying is when he was putting lowering springs on when he dropped the upper contorl arm and unbolted it from the srut the axle seperated in the halfshaft. So if this is what happened and u will know because it wont go back up in all the way, u have to take the axle pop it out of the half shaft and reset the bearings inside the boot they have to be precise and exact. What i did with mine was bought engine degreaser cleaned the whole boot and bearings out got all the old grease out repacked it with waterproof synthetic and slid the axle and bearings back in. note.. the axle must be pulled to make this easy and pulled from halfshaft. hope this helps let us know.

Re: Help on lowering springs

ok dark basically u have to get under the car use a screwdriver or a pickle fork and pop the axle out of the half shaft u will se that the halfshaft is bolted to the back of the block and there is only one way u can take it out by popping it to the left and when u get the rubber boot off take metal clams off with a flathead screw driver and u will see how the axle looks inside there are three bearings butyeah clean everything off first or its a mess i promise haha and just place bearings on the three posts and place back in half shaft pack with grease and re clamp em
