ways to increase torque

hey guys im looking into ways to increase the torque on my h23 withouth s/c or turbo will prob turbo within 6 months but i just wanna add some more torque to it

also i currently have an ebay ram intake with k n airfilter and aftermarket ehaust i heard from some people that this actually lowers it is that true

and lastly i got and msd 2 blaster coil i wanna put in my car and i saw that i needed and msd control box to install it what would be best for my car since its my dd prob wont see much racing and only mods are i/e and ngk iridiums with holley wires with msd cap and rotor

You speak of torque like it's a fixed figure, where in the power band do you want more torque? If it's down low, put the stock resonator back on, if you want more mid range and high end torque you are on the right track. You may loose torque down low due to a free flowing exhaust system (bigger than factory diameter) and an intake but what you loose down low you normally gain at higher rpm.

Only way to gain torque in a NA engine is compression! High compression pistons and cams/head work to suit will help to bump the torque figure. Therefore, you are better off transplanting an H22A or make an H23A vtec (H22A head onto the H23A block, not easy though) for they have a high compression platform. H23 is good for boost, not so much NA without big cash.

No point in dumping the stock ignition system unless you go boost, what you are running ignition wise at the moment seems fine.
