Fidanza flywheel VS OEM flywheel

Im debating which to choose. The Fidanza flywheel is 8 lbs and I dont know how much the OEM flywheel weighs. But based on quality, which would be better with an Exedy stage 1 cluth set?

Re: Fidanza flywheel VS OEM flywheel

i'd go with the fidanza. Because factory flywheels are so heavy and large in diameter it takes immense amount of power just to get it rotating. To rotate a factory flywheel from 1000 to 6000 rpm can take as much as 40 horsepower! That same application with an aluminum flywheel takes less than 15 horsepower.

Fidanze flywheel ftw!
If you're to purchase the Fidanza flywheel, it's a great match-up with an Exedy clutch...

Re: Fidanza flywheel VS OEM flywheel

act flywheel ftw. why because if you do anywhere close to the amount of drag racing I do you will run into the same issue I did with the fidanza. I bet your asking you self "what is this issue Miz?" Well from pre loading the clutch so many times the outer ring for the starter ( over time ) was heated along with the flywheel so many times it ended up not cooling down at the same rate as the aluminum being that it is steel. So it ended up getting bigger and spinning in place when I would start the car.
