trany swap

hi there im new here i just bought a 1993 prelude si 5 speed with the h23 stock almost every where nice car here is my question i want to know what would be the best trany to swap in to get the gearing lower when cruising at 75 mph im turning around 4000 rpm i want to lower that number to around 2500 - 3000 can any body please help

Why do you need to lower RPMs? H23s get 30+ mpg cruisin at 80 on the highway.

my jdm h22a w/ jdm trans got 21mpg on my last road trip avg 90mph.... :(

ya i dont know how you are getting 30+ im getting around 22 and it seems to me that it is high. i drive truck and cars and there all around 3000 at that speed so im just seen if there is any thing that i can do thanks

1. no way you're doing 4k at 75. h23's have longer gears than my h22 trans and I'm doing 80 at. 4k
2. I averages like 30 mpg when I went to Boston this weekend
3. to answer your original question, the tranny with the longest gears that will work for you is an f series tranny. (- the s2k)
4. you'll prob get better fuel economy results just changing your driving style
