Suspension Noise....help?

ok in november i changed my struts with kyb gr-2 struts with some option racing adjustable springs.... not the best way to go but cheapest.... so anyway now i notice my the front driver side squeaks a lot, when i push the front end down it sounds springy same with the passanger front but doesnt make noise when like drivers side.?

the strut tower bushings were replaced when i did the struts the back of the car doesnt make noise at all when pushing down.... anyone got any ideas?

also when i go over bumps it hits hard ( lowered 2.5 inches) what could cause this?

please help thanks

Re: Suspension Noise....help?

My assumption is the springs are getting weak. You said yourself you decided to get springs cheap. Never heard of such a brand..but i dont know just my assumption.

Also for hitting hard...do you have bump stops installed?

Re: Suspension Noise....help?

these are your springs?
http://www.optionracing.com/features...jsp?itemID=935

honestly..i understand times are tough but i wouldnt trust those..probably made with poor quality and wore out quickly.

As for hard hitting..yes i have no doubt thats a cause of the hard hitting problem problem.

Re: Suspension Noise....help?

maybe there's no isolators up front? i shredded mine so they make a faint squeak now and then over bumps. and damn those springs were cheap, probably gave out on you already. 3 inch drop ftw!

Re: Suspension Noise....help?

There is a very easy way to check this. First grab a can of WD-40, spray one of your suspension bushings, drive the car, continue this until the noise stops. Or a faster way is just spray them all at once and if it stops making the noise, you can then spray one at a time, now knowing that its your bushings. If its not your bushings, change your shocks. Like someone said up there, they may just be getting weak.

Re: Suspension Noise....help?

I had the same exact problem, my springs and struts were brand new too. I run KYB and Eibach Sportlines. How many miles are on your car? My car has 250,000. I replaced all the bushings in the front half of my car to energy suspension. Turned out my bump stop on the squeaky corner was ripped in half from being so old and worn out. Now there's no more noise, and everything is rock solid.

Re: Suspension Noise....help?

i no its probably my bushings but i was listening to see what it was while driving and the noise is really bad when going slow or rolling to stop, it starts to get better around 30 miles an hour not as noticable and at 55-60 sounds fine, could it be a broken upper control arm or something i still have tight steering no clicks from axels either

Re: Suspension Noise....help?

The number of the master bushing set by Energy Suspension is 16.18106. I bought it off of Amazon which was the cheapest I could find.

16.18106R is Red & 16.18106G is Black.

Here's where I bought mine, there's only 2 left!

Re: Suspension Noise....help?

All I can tell you is that I had the exact same symptoms and replacing my ripped in half bump stop with new Energy Suspension Bump stops fixed the squeak. The link I gave you is for bushings on the entire car. (Master Bushing Kit) However to buy 3 different sets of bushings to replace the three different types of bushings in the front strut assembly would probably cost you $60. (Spring Isolator, Bump Stops, Upper Strut Bushing) The master kit is $120 but is a way better deal because it offers like 10 kits in one.

Re: Suspension Noise....help?

I had this problem last year, what fixed it for me was to put more grease into the ball joint boots. If the ball joint dries out it will make the rubber squeaking sound.
