Re: quarter panels

our Napa carries replacement body panels. maybe yours does too?

if you cant find any replacement panels, you could always metal-work some yourself. ive done it with my truck before.

got any pictures of the rust?

Re: quarter panels

you gotta cut all the infected metal out and reweld new metal back in there. try to find a junked prelude in a junkyard close to you.

Re: quarter panels

I looked for quarters panels all over and once in while you'll find them on ebay for like 250.00 with 150.00 shipping. I did find a honda website that sells the originals from the factory but there 800.00. I have the same prob with rust i'm just gonna cut tack sand n paint. Sounds easier than it is. Good luck though man.

Re: quarter panels

hondaautomotiveparts.com has them brand spanking new, but like LD96 said, they are ~$800, unpainted, and shipping would be ridiculous on them. Your best (and cheapest) bet is probably finding a junk quarter to use, doing the metal work yourself, or letting a bodyshop do it.

Re: quarter panels

If you find a lude in a junkyard with no rust show me. lol. There arent any ludes in my area at yards. I have a joke witha friend when we go.. "thats what i get for buying such a reliable car!! While my car sits with no will to ever roll again. At any rate, i hear you can just get front fenders and use them for the back. I guess they are the same shape.

the junkyard we have here has three bb2 preludes, all which have been rolled. maybe that's the only way to kill a prelude?

Re: quarter panels

just have them fixed man I hate to say but body filler (no not bondo) does the job and fill the quarters with expanding foam so the rust will never come back

Good point, thats What i did with my rear. Used fiberglass and widened the back. Try using fiber glass its a bit easier to mold.
