HID Questions You've Seen Before

I know these questions have been asked before, but I can't find them.

Do HID's fit in the stock prelude housing? (4th gen JDM one piece to be exact)

Will any HID Kit work?

Already know about the light output so no need to get into that.

Anything I need to worry about when installing them or after installation?
(I know about HID's blinding people rabble, rabble, rabble no need to go into that either.)

Re: HID Questions You've Seen Before

yup. H1's or H4's for JDM lights, 9005/9006's for USDM lights.

Re: HID Questions You've Seen Before

Yes they fit in the stock housings. I have yet to get flashed or anything because my lights are "too bright." Preludes sit so low it's not really a problem. As far as mounting them...it took me about a half hour. There's ample space on both sides for the ballasts, you just have to look for it. If you want a real clean install, you can take the bumper off and mount them under the headlights so you can't even see them in the engine bay.

P.S. - You should look into the Xentec kits on E-Bay. LIke $70, but extremely good stuff.

Re: HID Questions You've Seen Before

Yeah I am definitely looking at ebay kits. My driver side Luminics headlight went out so I figure I'd take a look at real HID's. I've already got H4 headlights so I don't have to worry about that.

Re: HID Questions You've Seen Before

Sorry I don't have JDM housings. My mistake. Si96, I know there's an article around here about converting to H1 pigtails. Search around for it. If I have time later I'll see if I can find it.
