Re: Intake question, i cant find..

Rubber goes to the top of the head on the intake side where you see a tube already coming out. It's part of the head ventilation.

Re: Intake question, i cant find..

Yeah.
Some people get those little breather filters from AutoZone or whatever and stick those on there and cap off the nipple on the intake. Only downside to that is, it gets clogged with oil and you gotta change it fairly regularly, which is why I went back to the hose.

Re: Intake question, i cant find..

I've been looking into those things lately. How does it get clogged with oil? Is there any real reason to put one on (non vtec). Not tryin to thread jack, but he probably would have asked these questions anyway

Re: Intake question, i cant find..

Ever took the tube off and stuck for finger in it?
Oil is everywhere, or better yet, take your intake off after a couple months and see the oil all up there towards the top. It just gets sloshed aroud in the head like if you take the oil cap off and rev it, you see oil come out.
The only reason to put one on is to keep oil out of the intake, but it burns your wallet replacing that filter ever so often. The oil doesn't really hurt anything, but I just don't like the idea of it being there.

Never put my finger over it and anytime I ever took it off oil never came out. Thanks for the info though.
