Drive to airport=finding prelude problems

I was driving to the airport this morning and I noticed 2 key things that is going on with my car that is making me nervous. First is the vibrations in the tires (posted this problem on appropriate thread), next and the most annoying is that my car will sputter when I press the gas. I have changed out the spark plugs and this cured it sputtering when it took off for the most part, but I am lost on what to check next. Can you guys assist?

Re: Drive to airport=finding prelude problems

fuel filter, injector, might need to change the distributor cap and button.

start with the electrical stuff first.

how long has it been since the wheels have been balanced?
could be warped rotors...

Re: Drive to airport=finding prelude problems

well i just got new wheels, but i don't know about the rotors. it has been a while....now I have also just put in a new fuel filter, so that's rules out...I think the next step for me is the dis. cap.

Re: Drive to airport=finding prelude problems

check your distributer rotor. mine did the same thing and it turned out that the threads on the rotor were stripped. just pop the distributer cap off and see if the rotor is loose. if so tighten the rotor screw or get a new rotor.

Re: Drive to airport=finding prelude problems

I think I paid like 12 bucks for my rotor. its a really really easy and cheap thing to replace. and if it is your rotor it needs to be replaced asap. but just take a look at it d see if its the problem. it could be a lot of other things but that's what mine was. also I posted a reply to another guys shaking problem on one of the threads. you should check it out and see if yours has the same symptoms. Its one of the top threads. idk what its called. it has shaking in the title.
