Icon5 What you think about this exhaust

Hey guys i have been looking for an exhaust for my lude. I found one that doesnt seem to bad. it is an 4 peice ehxaust from the catback but also comes with an aftermaket cat. Here it is http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/4PC-9...Q5fAccessories What do you guys think about it? Anyone ever had any problems with an aftermarket cat or anything. I know its ebay and not namebrand but im 16 and its what i can afford. I was thinking of getting an spoon or apexi axle back exhaust so it wouldnt be as expensive but couldnt really find any. Any advise would be appreciated. thanks

Re: What you think about this exhaust

it'll do what exhaust are supposed to do. I just don't know how you're going to like it after a year or 2 when the packing inside the muffler starts to break down.

I've heard the ebay exhausts sound good right out of the box, some last a long time, and some sound like a pist off bee hive right out of the box. It looks cool tho.

Re: What you think about this exhaust

Yeah I have heard of some muffler burning out. One of my buddies had an ebay exhaust that sounded great and never burnt out. I think im just going to take the chance and if it does burn out in a year or two then just buy an apexi muffler or somethin. thanks

Re: What you think about this exhaust

that's what I would do if i were in your shoes. If the ebay muffler goes bad, just get a good one to replace it. Exhaust piping is exhaust piping, just don't scratch it on the street and it won't rust

Re: What you think about this exhaust

i think you should buy a quality muffler and just have a shop weld up custom piping. should only cost you about $2 per foot of pipe. and you'll need less than 15 ft w/ the bends + the muffler. should be able to get something better than that ebay kit for around the same price if not just slightly more.

Re: What you think about this exhaust

If your willing to risk having to buy another muffler/a better muffler for what you paided for that whole exhaust system then do it.....but like everyone else is saying it could last for ever it could burn out fast and sound like ****. either have a system made at a shop or save your pennies and buy a nice one that you know will last forever and sound good. run what you got for now!
