lol owned, honestly i dont know THATTTTTTTTTTT much from boost, but 97predator and twoke were helping me out with the subj when i wanted to go boost, and i think to get around the point..its always best to build up the engine to handle more then what you want..example..if your going to tune at 7psi...let the engine handle 10. just for reliability

Re: Let's Talk Boost!

Ok yea i see what your sayin and i agree, but the reason i ask is i know that the vw 98 jetta 2.0 can handle like almost 20 psi with just a raised head gasket. That mad me wonder what a H22A1 could handle.

Re: Let's Talk Boost!

first things first..... psi doesn't mean ANYTHING! especially when comparing apples to oranges (aka, vw's to honda's)
stop thinking of how much boost/psi you wanna run. start thinking in terms of how much power you wanna make.

Re: Let's Talk Boost!

steve, you said it yourself that you're not too educated in the subject, so please stop spreading false information.

to the OP, we already have plenty of information regarding this topic. readup:
Building H22 head for boost
Thinking to go turbo
Turbo parts query

to name a few. i'm tired, going to bed, and crossing my fingers for a snow day tomorrow so i can go riding. while i'm doing that, you should read EVERY single thread in the Forced Induction section, then on honda-tech, then on homemadeturbo, etc etc.
