92 Lude wont start, not the battery or starter...help plz?!

First of all I'd like to say hello and im glad to be part of this forum, but sadly my first post here is in distress...

I recently became owner of a 92 Prelude with a 2.3 and auto trans. i really like the car but since i bought it has had an intermittent issue with starting. sometimes (always when running late already ) it just wont start. I put the key in and turn it and all the dash lights and seat belt alert come on but nothing under hood. After waiting a short while, usually 10-15 minutes it will start with no hesitation. Now it had the issue again but won't start at all. It has now been stranded at a friends house for 10 days and no luck. I had both the battery and starter checked and both tested good. Now I'm out of ideas. please help me out?

It has occurred to me that there is perhaps a brake or trans. neutral safety switch that is bad. any thoughts on that? or perhaps something as simple as a relay? I have also checked all the fuses etc. but see none that appear blown.

distrib might be on its way out? hondas are known for it.....also when u try to start it does all the light on the dash shut off or do they stay on? check the big battery fuse under the hood see if theres any corrusion on it mines been sitting all winter and it started doin something like that and i think its my battery fuse. if its not that or the battery itself or the starter.....could be a nuetral saftey switch my girlfriends civic had a probablem with that but it fixed it self? haha i dunno try some things.....maybe you'll learn a thing or too

Undo the banjo bolt on the right side of the fuel rail, tap the key in the ignition (almost cranking it) and see if you see fuel. If you DON'T, most likely it's your main relay, or the fuel pump. If you DO see fuel, they're both operational.

If not, like they said above, I'd check the dizzy, or ignition coil.

I checked the battery fuse and cleaned the small amount of corrosion on it. No difference. And to answer a previous question, when i try to crank it, all the lights stay on. though i have noticed that only sometimes the seatbelt warning sound comes on...
It does not sound as though the fual pump is getting power either. would that indicate a bad relay?
I also have concerns about the ignition switch, as the vehicle has a salvage title and the steering wheel in it is an aftermarket one, so i have no idea if there could be a problem in the switch or column...

If it were the dizzy, wouldn't it still crank over, and just not start?

so many questions, so little know how..

Have you checked to see if your getting spark? if you're not getting fuel or spark, it could be your ecu ground is comign loose or is not making good contact, that was my problem when i swapped engines in my car, if you never swapped anything probably isnt your problem but its something worth looking into...its a wire that connects to your thermostat

i had the same problem. try turning the key to the on position but dont start it. leave the key in the onnposition for about five seconds. then turn it off and try to start your car. if it starts then that means your fuel primer in your fuel pump is bad. the fuel primer just pumps a lilbit of fuel in to start your car. its nothing that has to be replaced. you just have to do the ignition thing everytime.
