Just bought this on eBay..

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/_Car-...1%7C240%3A1318

Injen Short Ram Intake.

Hope it wasn't a bad choice.

It's the same one found on this site:
http://www.raceinspired.com/ps-1428-...1992-1996.aspx

Seller has 100% Positive Feedback, stuff like that. Everyone else who bought stuff like this from him was completely satisfied.

The "Buy it now" price was 110. I made an offer of 100 to him, just for laughs, and he actually accepted it, to my surprise.

Thoughts? Did I get a deal or am I going to get screwed? I didn't feel like paying 170+ for the SAME exact one on Raceinspired.com

Good pick up for 100 bucks. Use the hell out of that filter, then pick up a K&N.

Re: Just bought this on eBay..

Nice pick up. Pretty good price too. INJEN makes very high quality products. A lot of research and development goes into their parts. Enjoy the intake and let us know how you like it.

I hope I do enjoy it. Been wanting one for a while. Anyone tell me how long it may take to install it for an inexperienced person such as myself or should I just get someone else to do it?

Thanks.

Re: Just bought this on eBay..

It took me 20 minutes the first time I ever installed one so it won't take you long.

$100 isn't bad for Injen at all.

Re: Just bought this on eBay..

well the principal is the same. unbolt the tubing from the throttle body, unclip the stockair box, undo the bolts underneath it and remove the whole thing, and then install your intake in the same way as you would with the stock intake, just remember to reconnect the vacuum hoses back onto the injen intake once installed if there is any

this is very easy to do you don't need to pay anyone to do this. If you search on here DIY on the install. If not PM me and I'll make a quick video with some simple instructions for you.

There ya go.

Its pretty easy. Disconnect the whole black box/tubing. Thats your stock intake. You'll see it connected to the throttle body thats attached to your intake manifold. Make sure unbolt the whole black box. There is like a rubber piece and a hole that goes down under your hood/fender on the passenger side in the very front. I left the rubber piece in just incase I ever decided to purchase a type S intake (supposedly proven WHP over CAI/SRI)

Right there I have the 2 vacuum lines circled in red up by my strut tower bar. One isn't visable because my strut bar is in the way. But its right underneath. and the other one is in open view. If you dont have vacuum line holders I recommend you go get some for like 35 cents at your local autozone or whatever your near. I forget what the hell they are really called. but there are 2 types. One you grab with pliers and it opens it up. Almost like scissors. The other is a screw band.

Scissor type

I was just showing you where the vacuum lines are connected. Thats all. And I was just telling you that you should get some clips to hold the vacuum lines on. I'll even give you my phone number if you need a walk through.
