door sensor and interior light prob.

ok...so the thing is that the sensor that turns on the little red light when you have the door open is startting to fail....i have shaved doors and one day luckily outside my house my door had pop't open but my alarm haddent gone off....would i need a new sensor or is it something else.....also the interior light when i set it to on or auto...donesnt turn on only some times and the light is good..... also another weird thing when the door sensor is working and i open my door but leave my light on the bell sometimes doesnt chime.... help plz

mine does the exact same thig. im tryin to figure it out. i think it goes more in depth than just the sensor.

did you change ur sensor?

ima replace sensor one i find it....then il let you guys kno

might be weather idk tho.....my plastic lining or trim frm my door also needs to be replaced thats why im saying weather idk tho

no i didnt change it. everything just started working for some reason. sometimes it doesnt work and sometimes it does.

hahah same thing here...today its not working but just yesterday when i had my light on and opened my door the chime went off....its been buggin me i really have to get it fixed its not convinent at all to have a failing door sensor

took off the door sensor today... took it apart and cleaned... made sure the bolt going into the door made a good contact ground and so far its been working now

what i would check is to make sure that inside the sensor there is no dirt on the metal part that makes the connection and make sure the screw makes a good ground
