Removing interior

Hey guys I wrecked my prelude and will be buying another one, the wrecked one has a sweet interior that I plan on transferring to the other one.

Does anybody have a guide on how to remove the seats and door/backseat panels? (ie the plastic walls)

Re: Removing interior

Dude it's soooo easy. It's one of those "Figure it out" things. There's 4 bolts that hold each front seat in. As for the back seats, you need to remove the divider thing first and then you can easily figure out how to remove the back seats and the panels.

yup. rear lower seats only held on by clips (lift the padding up to find them), then you can take the rear back panels off, rear center console, front seats only held on by 4 bolts, after the rear seats are out, everything is self-explanitory. if you can't figure it out.... put the wrench down and step away from the car.

i took my rear seats out to replace my fuel pump(writeup is still on the way), and have not put them back yet, that extra 15 pounds of weight reduction is killin the scions and smart cars in the streets.

can i get the rear sex divider from you??

Re: Removing interior

When you say "lift the padding" you mean the butt part or the back part?? I wasn't aware u could just lift the whole back seat off. I know the driver side backseat can be folded down a little but the passenger side back seat does not fold down. I'l check when I have both cars in the driveway.

I'm buying JARyder19's lude and swapping out the interior with my wrecked one

Then I'll be selling the wrecked one as a whole, how much do you think I can get?? Ill put pics when I get it but for before-wreck pics checkout my members ride post.

From the damage I saw:

Both airbags deployed
Passenger side front axle broken
Passenger side front rim broken
Passenger side body kit skirt split but still attached and can be fixed
Radiator didn't leak or anything but it moved up
Back bumper broke one of the lil holes where screw goes to attach to car (easily fixed)

The front bumper that goes with the kit (in my sig) did not get damaged because it wasn't on the car (i had other one on)

It wasn't a head on collision, I fell into a ditch and title still clear. Just don't want to go through the hassle of fixing it.

engine and transmission are fine but the car wont start because airbags deployed.

124k on H23 engine with recent water pump and timing belt change (oct 08)

How much should I ask for? I will need to get it out of the driveway ASAP after interior swap

This is the new one, looks like the whole part of the car (hood, sunroof, top of trunk) are faded, should I swap them with the wrecked car? (the one was painted 1 year ago) is it worth the hassle(is it hard to swap sunroof, trunk and hood?)

Re: Removing interior

if i were you..instead of selling the whole car, part it out and you can easily make more then you would have if you sold it as whole. and to prove my point look at 96slude, he already wants a part. lol

Re: Removing interior

I know I would make more money back if I sold it separately but that would take months, I can't have the car in thee driveway for more than 2-3 weeks (not my house).

How much could I get for it??
