Icon5 Moon roof

So ever since i bought my prelude when i sit at red lights ive been hearing this rattleing noise, at first i thought it was something in the engine bay. Well i pushed my hand on my moonroof and the noise went away, so i thought i might put some double padded tape around the lip of the roof, but one day i left it open and was getting something out of the trunk to fix something when i noticed this.....

Now is the moonroof padding supposed to be hanging?
how is it SUPPOSED to be connected?
can someone post some pictures of theirs?

Re: Moon roof

Looks like an easy fix. Just have to remove the interior panel and slide it back in there. The interior panel slid out somehow. Take off the trim to reveal holes to unscrew 2 screws, one on each side. Then there are 5 tabs holding the interior panel to the moon roof. After you pop those out you can then slid the part you took a picture of back into the groove. The part that is sagging in your pictures should be slid in between the two pieces of metal.

Re: Moon roof

No worries, I broke off all but one of the clips. My moon roof was rattling, so I took everything off, lubed up the rails, and tightened everything back up.

Re: Moon roof

did you take the moonroof off of the rails?

if you did how did you?
it would be easier for me to fix my clips, that way i know for sure everything is secure

Re: Moon roof

Well when you take off everything, you'll see 4 bolts, 2 on each side. Just undo them and the moon roof will come right off. :)
