VTEC Sub

The 4G Vtecs came with a center sub\amp.
Were the S and Si prewired but just didn't include the amp\sub\grill cover ?

I'm guessing this little amp had some sort of low pass filter and sent signal to the sub.

Do they work if you've got an aftermarket HU?

Assuming I could find one, what would be involve in installing it on a 92S?

Re: VTEC Sub

My 96 sub works with a different head unit. I also have a 94 si, which was not prewired for the sub/amp. And the rear center where the sub goes is hard plastic while the 94 has a padded backing. So I think you'll have to replace that.

Re: VTEC Sub

The harness set up is quite simple. It goes from the sub and connects to the radio harness. Finding one is the hard part.

Where does it connect to the radio harness?
