Icon6 i just got a 1993 prelude!!!!!

so i just bought a 1993 prelude from a friend. this is my first import other than my gsxr1100. so this is gonna be a learning experience. the car was 500.00 and has a bad transmission. i believe it has the h23 motor, because there is no vtec badge on the valve cover and it is a dual-over head cam motor. the trans only worked in 2nd and 4th but now is completely locked up- the front tires wont even roll. i am just trying to figure out what i should do? i first would like to get the vechile working before making it wild. but i don't want to make a basic mistake of using the less ideal pieces. there just seems to be a lot of choices?
what is the part number for the trans and what is the vehicles it came in. it seems like the honda accord has the same motor/trans... i cant believe how cheap the parts are for these vehicles? it seems like the trans for one of these is only 300-400$ if there is some web site or info i would greatly appreciate the
help...

? about h22, f22, and h23 trans????
there's some good info in those links...

Also, if you are planning on making it "wild", I would first sit down and figure out your plans i.e. turbo, all motor, jet engine... No sense in dropping 300-500 bucks on a tranny when you're only going to find out later down the road you need something better. Just my thoughts.

The tranny for your car is the m2s4, it came out of a 92-96 prelude si...assuming that your car does have the h23a1...

Edit: I didn't realize how old this thread was...hm.
