Transmission question (I swear i searched)

I searched all over the site to find the answer to this question, but found nothing..... Here is my question (for those who don't know) i have a F22a1 with f22 transmission.... how would it change my acceleration to swap in a h22 trans?

Thanks,
Marshall

Re: Transmission question (I swear i searched)

it would help your acceleration and drop your top speed. you should just save and do the h22 + trans at the same time.

certainly each has their ups and downs. h22 swap is the best bang for your buck, and its a good base if your looking to go for a full build ... F22 is just a good budget build motor with good fuel economy and reliability.

I mean I guess since your in HS its better you stay F22, but I personally would go with H22.

Me too. And I think you meant:

F22t w/boost ftw
H22a ftw still
And I think what smok3y said is pretty much correct.

H22TT w/ F22 transfestite, longer gears for the extra power, the goal is to build the engine well enough so when hitting 9000+ rpms, you will be near 50 mph in first gear.

Re: Transmission question (I swear i searched)

Did Mikey change SN's? Theres several different people in this thread posting Mikey style comments.

Every village has to have their idiot, Mikey is ours.

BTW: Prelude S... 1st gear is pretty universal among the H/F prelude trannies so yea....
