BAD oil leak

Well im driving home today and my oil light comes on...so i limp her about 10 miles home, and check my oil and its about bone dry at this point, so i dump about 4 quarts in and start her up....now i cant exactly tell WHERE the oil is coming from because its spraying everywhere from the back of the engine under the intake, i cant get close enough to see where its coming from because its misting everywhere...took about 30 seconds for my whole valve cover to be covered with oil

Where could it be spraying this bad from?

Re: BAD oil leak

most likely oil cooler o-ring, under the oil filter.

search the site for it, been covered plenty of times because plenty of other ppl have had this problem.

Re: BAD oil leak

I would advise you to get the Honda OEM O-Ring, just for peace of mind's sake. And I normally don't say this, but yes, the Search button needs to be used more. I think this has been covered 4 times in the last 3 days.

Re: BAD oil leak

Well that must have been it...my buddy had a pack of o-rings for his engine he's building, so we used one out of it...when we pulled everything apart the o-ring that was in there broke into 3 different pieces...well after some struggling we got the new o-ring in there...but its still leaking really bad from the same area...like i lost 4 quarts again within 30 miles. do you think the o-ring may have just not seated correctly?

Edit** Also i did use the search button...but the search function wont search for anything under a certain amount of letters which leaves me to search for leak....and well, im sure you can guess that, that left alot to be desired lol

Re: BAD oil leak

Boolean operators FTW my friend. Anyway, the O-Ring you used was probably a tad bit too small/large, so it's still leaking. Like I said, get the right part straight from Honda and you won't have those problems.
