Icon9 Well i got some bad news....

Well as most of you know i have a 93 SI and its been slinging oil reeeaaal bad, well Friday i went out and started her up to warm up and i came back outside and She was bleeding =[ her oil was all under her. so i ran to shut her off.

224k on her. that seems pretty dang good to me. but yeah that F22 i have you know the SOHC VTAK lolz im not even gonna try with it the mounts dont line up and it doesnt match up the AC comp and all that =[. So i lucked up and found a 92 SI with a h23 so i got her for free but she isnt drivable =[ but her engine is getting RE-built =] so yeah ima build her for Bolt-ons. then save up and build my engine for BOOOOST =]

Re: Well i got some bad news....

stolen from http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthre...g+tranny+mount

Mounts:
For the H22A simply reuse the all the Accord mounts. The actual size and shape of the f22a and the h22a are exactly the same, so bolting all of the original mounts and brackets onto the new motor should take care of any mounting issues. With everything swapped over, the motor will bolt directly back in.

For other engines such as the F22B1 you will need to use the F22Ax driver’s side inner mount and bracket, the one that passes through the timing covers and bolts into the side of the block. Remove it from the F22Ax and reuse it on the F22B1. All the bolts will line up except for one.

Transmission Mounts:
For the 5-Speed you will to use a 10x1.25mm tap to tap the two unused holes in the Prelude transmissions case. Before you can do this the holes need to be enlarged with an 11/32" drill bit... get a drill bit that is made to drill through metal! Remove the two studs from their old location, and install them in the location you just drilled and tapped. Then you can mount up the Accord's tranny mount on the Prelude transmission.

Re: Well i got some bad news....

That's a bummer dude. That never happened to me, but when I had my 3100 Cutlass, I was sitting in traffic and it died on me. I couldn't even turn the crank with a wrench. Why? Major siezage yo. It was originally my mom's car, and the oil change shop she always went to never actually changed the oil, they just charged her and told her they did. I ended up swapping in a cammed 3400 out of a Z34 Lumina though. It was a little faster. Still a ****ty situation though.

Re: Well i got some bad news....

hmm at h23 that blew up whats new. I hate that motor and have wasted to much money on them to like them. I bet the living $hit out of my h22 daily ( i dont think there is a day in the week were I don't do at least 125mph). I've had low mileage h23 and took care of them (oil changes, checked the oil before I dove it each day) and bam knock knock knock they would go. I don't know wtf it is about h23 and bad oiling but I'd never put one in any car.

Thats my two cents for the day.
