Clutch Info.

This will be my 2nd clutch in a years time. I did not excersise the "break-in" period last time and it obviously has cost me more money. I need to get it right this time. My questions are as follows.

1. How do you break-in a clutch?
2. Do I need to replace the flywheel again? I already installed a light-weight flywheel when I put the last clutch in this past February.
3. After the clutch break-in period is over. Is there a certain way you have to accelerate with an 8lb. flywheel installed? I've heard different things.

Thanks in advance.

Re: Clutch Info.

1) drive VERY conservatively for 500-1000 miles. aka, no racing, power shifting, redlining, more than 50% throttle, clutch feathering, etc etc. just use your common sense. i did it this way, and my original exedy stage 1 + fidanza 8lb are on their 3rd motor (2 being boosted), 32,000miles, and still going.

2) you shouldn't need to, it should still be good. just to be safe i'd bring it to a machine shop to see if its still true.

3) after break-in, let hell break loose. drive it like ya stole it. why, what have you heard??
